This is something I have only seen on the internet… but Kawaii shit. Yes everyone, lets reinforce being a weak minded female with absolutely no value other than being small and cute. Yes girls, the only way you could ever have value is if you are completely innocent, modest, small, and naturally adorable. «fuck off.
This embodies ALL types of shaming. Body shaming, slut shaming, and expression shaming. Its more than fine to like cute little Japanese style animals/foods, but this Kawaii fad is embracing A HUGE part of Japanese culture that has always disturbed me. It is not okay to portray women in this kind of submissive, stupid way that places them in the same exact male dominated society that has been Japan for years. I have seen so much of this degrading imagery in Anime and now it is a tumblr fad? Really? Come on tumblr, you don’t need that stupid shit.
